Here are some of the best hidden izakayas in Shibuya, secretly told to us by locals. These izakayas are not made for tourists, but offer authentic flavors rooted in the lives of the locals.

SANTYOKUYA TAKA

Located near Shinsen Station in Tokyo. The restaurant is known for purchasing fresh seafood directly from the market and preparing it in a simple, traditional way to enhance its natural flavors. The concept is to offer set-course meals consisting mainly of seafood, and may not be suitable for those seeking quantity.

Main Details:

  • Location: Lions Mansion Shibuya B1F, 12-2 Maruyama-cho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, is located a 3-minute walk from Shinsen Station on the Keio Inokashira Line and an 8-minute walk from Shibuya Station on the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line and Tokyu Denentoshi Line.
